Asake Makes Spotify Nigeria History With Mr. Money With The Vibe
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Asake has achieved another historic milestone as his debut album, Mr. Money With The Vibe, becomes the first-ever album to spend 190 weeks inside the Spotify Nigeria Top 10.
The record-breaking achievement further cements the album’s legacy as one of the most successful and enduring projects in Nigeria’s streaming history. Since its release, Mr. Money With The Vibe has remained a fan favorite, consistently attracting streams and maintaining its relevance nearly four years later.
Asake‘s dominance on the platform extends beyond a single project. His sophomore album, Work of Art, currently ranks as the second longest-running album in the Spotify Nigeria Top 10, with an impressive 169 weeks.
The feat highlights Asake‘s remarkable consistency and the lasting appeal of his catalogue, making him the only artist to occupy the top two spots for the longest-charting albums in Spotify Nigeria’s Top 10 history.
With both projects continuing to post strong streaming numbers, Asake‘s influence on the Nigerian music scene remains stronger than ever, setting a benchmark for longevity in the streaming era.
